"When you sign up for a basketball or baseball program you expect to
eventually play.  If you invest all your time and money into any activity you
should be able to enjoy it in competition- the same goes in Karate, nobody
sits on the sidelines in my school!  Everyone participates and we encourage
competition because then there is no guessing game: you know what your
being taught works, because you have experienced it!"
